#3 Seward Park: Seattle, WA

Located with Seattle’s city limits, this 300-acre park is a must see for outdoorsy-people. It has miles of hiking trails, a 2.4-mile paved biking/walking path, a garden, eagle’s nests, shoreline and beaches. Leashed dogs are welcome in the park.

Want to see a really interesting park with your dog? Check out Seattle’s Gasworks Park. This 19.1-acre public park used to be the site of of the former Seattle Gas Light Company plant. Located on the shore of Lake Union, the park is divided up into different areas: Earth Mound, North Lawn, Towers, Prow, Picnic Lawn and Shelter, Play Barn, and South Lawn. The Earth Mound, Prow, and Lawns are open areas, while the Towers, Play Barn, and Picnic Shelter are part of the original manufacturing structures.
